Reception
Our Reception classrooms are designed to be free flowing, with permanent access to our outdoor space and the amazing castle! Our curriculum is topic based, with opportunities for visits and in school experiences such as a trip to an ice cream farm and a visit from a mobile planetarium.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum, working towards completion of an EYFS profile assessment for each child at the end of the year. This assessment is completed through ongoing observation by staff against the Early Learning Goals.
Pupils in Reception have weekly swimming and PE lessons and are taught by trained staff.
